CUPL teachers and students took part in the 1st German and Comparative Law Forum upon invitation
|
The 1st German and Comparative Law Forum, organized by East Asian Law Institute of University Freiburg, was held in University Freiburg, Germany from October 25 to 27. Upon invitation, Professor Mi Jian, Li Yongjun and Shi Jianzhong from CUPL made presentations on the new development of Chinese property law, bankruptcy law and anti-monopoly law respectively. A dozen of graduates from CUPL in their exchange period of study in University Freiburg, Frankfurt University, University of Munich, Hamburg University, University of Cologne also attended the forum. 15 professors from Swedish universities, German Federal Anti-monopoly Office, University Freiburg, University of Konstanz, University of Munich, China University of Political Science and Law, Tsinghua University, Peiking University, Tongji University presented speeches in the forum and discussed on Sino-German comparative property law, bankruptcy law, employment contracts law, anti-monopoly law and company law. Apart form the professors, some journalists of legal magazines, experienced lawyers and law students also took part in the forum.
From this forum, European public as well as jurists especially from Germany and Sweden attained better understandings of the new development in China’s law system. The forum also provides a judicial interflow platform for the three countries.
